Riding a bike contributes to our health.

开门见山指出第一个优势

其它写法：Riding a bicycle does have its appeals.

At the very least, cycling burns calorie. In fact, it does much more.

高分写作句型：At the very least, …  In fact, it does more.

用at the very least (至少)，引入第一个优势。

用 In fact, it does more (事实上，它的益处远不局限于此)来引入其它的优势。

例如:

At the very least, bilingual education can sharpen a student’s language ability. In fact, it does more.

Cycling helps to train our eye-hand-feet coordination and sharpens our sense of balance.

to train our coordination and to sharpen sense of balance

体育相关的词语:

Coordination(协调),  sense of balance(平衡性), endurance (耐力), explosive force(爆发力), vital capacity(肺活量), agility(灵活性), capability in rapid response(反应能力)

A suitable amount of exercise helps to keep you more responsive, adaptive and flexible.

一定量的运动可以让你反应更快，而且更具适应性和灵活性。

It is easy to learn and not physically demanding. It is probably the best sport for overweight people.

Besides, the air will be a lot cleaner if more people choose to use bikes instead of cars.

使用“Besides”，自然过渡到下一个advantage

Bicycle is the most environment-friendly means of transport except for walking, which has the intolerable downside of being too slow.

高分搭配：intolerable downside 无法容忍的缺点

与downside\disadvantage（缺点）搭配的词语：

普通版：obvious(明显的), great(大的), main(主要的), major(主要的)

升级版：considerable(相当大的), distinct(明显的), manifest(明显的), intolerable(不可容忍的), unendurable(无法容忍的), unbearable(无法容忍的), insufferable(无法容忍的), inevitable(不可避免的), doubly(双倍地)

动词： experience(遭遇), suffer from(遭遇), offset(抵消), outweigh(抵消), overcome(克服), remove(消除)

Though bilingual education may sound practical at first thought, it inevitably puts students at a distinct disadvantage.

Actually, due to traffic congestion, cycling is often the quickest way to reach your destination.

Traffic congestion = traffic jam 交通堵塞

The thoroughfares in the country were congested during the peak season of tourism.     

Apart from being clean and quick, cycling is safe. This means safety for ourselves and others.

写作句型： Apart from…., cycling is .... This means …

用apart from引入新的advantage

用this means来开始对新的优势的具体描述

In light of the actual speed at which a bike usually travels, the likelihood of a collision with pedestrians and fellow cyclists is minimal. Even in the event of such an accident, people involved usually get away with a few scratches at the worst.

短语的使用：in light of 考虑到

The progress was indeed encouraging in light of the small profit the company posted last year.

in the event of 万一、倘若

高科技（核能）的优势：

In light of the natural resources nuclear power stations are consuming, the likelihood of air pollution is minimal. Even in the event of nuclear leak, people affected by it are usually informed of the potential damage.
