雅思阅读考试句子之目的关系

思润老师今天给同学们介绍雅思阅读考试中句子之目的关系。

首先，我们来看一下Cambridge4Test4Passage1Howmuchhigher?Howmuchfaster?这篇文章中第8题对于目的关系的考察：

题目

8.YessisdescribesatrainingapproachfromtheformerSovietUnionthataimstodevelopandathlete’s................

通过题目我们可以迅速找出Yessis和formerSovietUnion这两个定位词，而考点为找出这种训练方式的目的，答案为名词。通过定位词我们迅速定位到原文中的第三段：

YessisbelievesthatU.S.runners,despitetheirimpressiveachievements,are‘runningontheirgenetics’.Byapplyingmorescientificmethods,‘they'regoingtogomuchfaster’.Thesemethodsincludestrengthtrainingthatduplicateswhattheyaredoingintheirrunningeventsaswellasplyometrics,atechniquepioneeredintheformerSovietUnion.

但是大家在最后一句话提到新的训练方式plyometrics的地方并未找到表示目的的词，这时候大家试着看接下来的第四段有没有相关表达：

Whereasmostexercisesaredesignedtobuildupstrengthorendurance,plyometricsfocusesonincreasingpower-therateatwhichanathletecanexpendenergy.

第四段出现了表示目的关系的词“to”，前半句强调其他练习的目的，相对应plyometrics的目的就是增强power，迅速判断出第8题答案为power。

常见的目的关系的表达方式有：

todo（比较隐晦，不容易看到，需要大家多注意）
